The flats and handwashing challenge starts in less then a week! I think I am pretty much set!
My plan for the week is as follows.
I have 1 dz flat diapers from Diaper Junction sitting here waiting for the big day. I plan to use a mixture of Bummis Super Whisper Wraps and Blueberry on size coveralls for covers. If I end up needing them I also have a dozen Gerber flats but they are SO inferior to the DJ flats that I am going to do my best to not need them. I also have a handful of snappis.
I plan to attempt to handwash in our tub each diaper as it comes off of the babies bum. If that turns out to be too much I plan to wash once a day. I plan to try a mixture of hanging outdoors and hanging on a wooden drying rack in an upstairs room out of the way.
The only thing I have yet to determine is what I will use to wash the diapers other then plain water. I am assuming that I will just use my Allens Naturally (powder form) by rehydrating it and putting it in a squeeze bottle... but I am not sure yet.
I will be diapering my 1 yr old full time and my 2 yr old at naps! We will TRY flats at night too but I am not holding my breath.. I have super soakers.
Disclaimer- 1 dozen flat diapers were provided by Diaper Junction free of charge for the purposes of this challenge. All opinions and ideas stated are my own.
